Our Story
Institutional quality commercial landscape services tailored to fit your needs
Magnolia Land Services (MLS), a Houston-based commercial landscaping company, was founded in 2023 by two best friends. The company owners joined together after seeing a gap in the market for a young, forward-thinking, environmentally conscious commercial landscaping service company with deep relationships in the sector. MLS was founded on the basic principle: to be the commercial landscaping company that we’d want to take care of a property we owned. The core pillars of our business are: timely execution, high attention to detail, and instilling a pride of ownership into each of our team members. We don’t take anything for granted and are in the business of building and maintaining long-lasting relationships that we’re proud of.

Ben has spent his entire career in commercial landscaping. Ben has worked in several leadership roles ranging from overseeing maintenance, arbor operations, enhancements, irrigation, installation jobs across various scopes / assets, and more. Ben brings best-in-class experience and processes / procedures having worked alongside institutional commercial landscaping companies in his career. Ben is a proud husband and father of 2.

Horacio Villarreal
Partner
Horacio has spent his entire career on the finance side of commercial real estate where he has worked with several real estate investment firms focusing on several property types where he spearheaded investment activities. During this time, Horacio saw first-hand what made for a desirable landscaping partner, which is where the idea of “we want to be the landscaping company that we would want servicing a property that we owned” came from. Horacio is highly focused on implementing those lessons and instituting leading technologies and efficiencies to ensure that MLS is a market leader across all service lines. Horacio focuses much of his time on finance, accounting, operations, and business development for MLS. Horacio is a proud husband, a graduate of The University of Texas, and a father of 2.
